Historical Architecture

Holy Trinity Church in Lubiszewo  erected in 1348 . The main altar with the Szafkowa Madonna and the „Holy Trinity” figurine group were created at the beginning of the XV century, while the rest of the church interior décor and furnishings dates back to the Baroque era. A very interesting elements of the interior are a Baroque pulpit in a shape of a boat and a molded and painted goat leather antependium of the main and side altars. As of 1997, this temple is the Sanctuary of the Our Lady of Consolation.

St. Margaret’s Church in Miłobądz.
Inside the church is a late Baroque painting – “The Crucifixion of Jesus”, a Gothic Madonna with Child sculpted out of lime tree and a granite baptismal fount date to the XIV century. Moreover, nearby the church is a lovely rectory dating back to the year 1800 with interesting front threshold columns with two granite orbs.

Our Lady of Perpetual Consolation in Turze
A XIX, neo-Baroque Church with a high tower and in it, a working to this day, clock. The original artistic attributes of this church are the church organs directly above the altar and an unusual layout of the pews.

Church of St. Andrew Bobola in Swarożyn
A neo-Gothic church dating to 1895, with beautiful church organs and bells still preserved from the year of its construction. It’s characteristic quality is the barrel vault, the element most frequently filling tourists with awe. The church together with the rectory has been entered into historic architecture registry in 1990. Nearby the church is an old, closed Evangelical cemetery.

A Manor and Park Complex in Turze
The complex located near a church in Turze. Numerous festivities and parties are held in this beautiful setting. As an additional attraction, nature lovers can admire an interesting specimen of a London Plane Tree.

A Palace in Łukocin
A Manor and Park complex shows properties of the second quarter of the XIX century architectural style. The Palace, most probably was built towards the end of the XVIII century (approx. 1870), by the then owner of the estate, Paul Du Bois. In 1922, a Pole by the name of Miankowski became its new owner, while in 1939 Germans moved into the Manor. After the escape of the Germans, the palace was turned into a grammar school, which was moved to its new facility in 1978. After renovation, the manor was adapted for residential purposes

A Palace in Łukocin

The Knybawski Bridge is a part of the “Berlinka” (a highway leading to Berlin). It contains numerous shelters in its the corners and the shortest route to the city of Malbork from central and western Pomerania. It was built in the ’40 of the past century as a reinforced concrete structure. This is a very interesting viewing point.
